An abundance of 70 meters of velvet dyed a tone of red-brown color is entwined within the limbs and around the body of RibRaft. This fabric flows down the steps toward the museum's floor. This pouring onto the floor of the museum evokes the earthiness of a rooted history which I envisioned as an enveloping blanket of comfort.
Une abondance de soixante dix mètres de velours teint un ton brun/rouge est entrelacée à travers les côtes et la colonne de la sculpture. Le tissu coule en descente sur les escaliers vers le plancher de la salle. Ce versement jusqu'au sol carrelé du musée évoque un aspect terreux d'une histoire enracinée que je voyais comme une couverture réconfortante.
